The Salt Pond Golf Club is an 18 hole public challenging mid length course, nestled within a 538 home and townhome community in Bethany Beach, DE. The ponds and natural woodlands surrounding the course make playing here a unique experience.
A professionally manicured 18-hole public mid length course presents itself as a challenge for even the most seasoned player, yet friendly enough for women, juniors, seniors and beginners.
With most foursomes finishing the course in less than 3 hours, the location is ideal for playing golf and enjoying the beautiful beaches all in the same day.
Sand Traps in the morning and Sand Bars in the afternoon help make unforgettable memories.
Mark Allison, the Salt Pond Golf Course Superintendent, is dedicated to maintaining our course and facilities to the highest standards. His trademarks are fast greens, fair roughs and beautiful fairways. He is originally from Westchester Co, New York, and studied Turf-grass Management at the University of California. Mark directs the entire golf maintenance staff; he is certified to consult in nutrients, agriculture planning, pesticides for turf and ornamental applications as well as aquatic systems. He has over ten years experience in golf course maintenance, working both in Nevada and Delaware. He joined the Salt Pond Golf Course as Superintendent in 2015.

HOURS OF OPERATION
The golf course is open year round subject to weather and some holidays during the hours listed below:
- Memorial Day through Labor Day – 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Carts must be returned to pro shop by dusk or 8:30 p.m., whichever comes first.

Birdies Snack Bar
Birdies will be opening Memorial Day weekend for the summer, and minimum hours through the Summer will be 11AM to 4PM.
DIRECTIONS
From Downtown Bethany Beach and North Ocean City:
- Go North on Route 1 /Coastal Hwy
- Turn left at first light past Rt.26 onto Rd 360/Fred Hudson Rd.
- Proceed 0.9 miles and make a left at the Salt Pond entrance Bethany loop (G + E Supermarket)
- Continue straight on Bethany Loop proceed past the 4 way Stop and the Golf Clubhouse will be on the left.
From Cape May-Lewes Ferry, Rehoboth, & Dewey:
- Take US RT9 West to Route 1 South /Coastal Hwy
- Continue on Route 1 S Over the Indian River inlet Bridge
- Proceed approximately 4 miles to Fred Hudson Rd (360) and turn Right at the Traffic Light
- Proceed 0.9 miles and make a left at the Salt Pond entrance Bethany Loop (G + E Supermarket)
- Continue straight on Bethany Loop proceed past the 4 way Stop and the Golf Clubhouse will be on the left.
From Route 113 S:
- US-113 S/ DuPont Blvd
- Turn left onto Clayton St
- Turn right onto Main St
- Continue onto DE-26 E/Vines Creek Rd
- Turn left onto DE-26 E/Atlantic Ave
- Turn left onto Rd 357/Central Ave – Continue to follow Rd 357
- Turn right onto Bethany Loop (Just before Fred Hudson Rd)
- Make a right at the 4 way Stop Sign
- Golf Clubhouse will be on the left.
